Gardian Nation

At the mouth of the Rhône river, in the Camargue area of Provence,

Along the Mediterranean Sea,

In the south of France,

There exists a way of life few people are aware of.

Learn their story, with an informtive Documentary DVD, beautiful book about the culture or visit the museum show as it tours the country.

One sees white horses, black bulls, pink flamingos. . .

and a small group of herdsmen known as “gardians”;

France’s own cowboys.

In this marsh covered land, the gardians, like many cultures,

are trying to hold tight to a rapidly declining way of life.

A life full of pagentry and tradition.

Where young men dare to come face to face the with a bull.

A story of hard work and creativity to keep their passion

for horses, cattle, nature and the identity of Provence itself alive.
